Six Years of Twisted Frequency
Techno and Progressive music has evolved a whole lot since the inception of Twisted Frequency recordings back in 2006 and whilst the ethos of the label has always been to avoid pigeon-holing and avoid trend-chasing, weve decided that the start this New Year is the right time to take a retrospective over the last six years and try to summarise the best moments in this 20-track compilation. This imprint has been as much about bringing in favoured remix artists as it has about the original work of James Harcourt and other artists around the world and this is something we wanted to project via this compilation album. We start off with a fitting bang in the form of Italian star Neuroxyde and his fantastic tough, energetic tech workout on Jackfruits excellent 3-2-1 groove and maintain the level from there. Along the way, Pig & Dans amazing remix of Brisker & Magitmans Concreed gets a place, as do excellent remixes of other tracks by Hernán Cattáneo, Beckers, Adam Shaw, Pig & Dan, Spirit Catcher, Victor Ruiz, Audiojack and Umek. In addition, we have great underground tracks and remixes from the Electric Press, Hawaii, Victor Ruiz, Neoteric, Luetzenkirchen and of course James Harcourt / Jackfruit. The package closes out with one of the most popular tracks on the label Schadenfreude by James & Udaye Rana the melodic and groovy track which will evoke memories of summer 2007.
